About SSYS

OUR MISSION

To support young people, families and communities to value each other and create opportunities to realise their goals and dreams.

South Sydney Youth Services started operation in 1975 and was initiated by a group of local mothers who were concerned about the welfare of teenagers in the local area. We are a multi functional youth service with skilled staff that offers holistic support.

The service’s main office is based at the corner of Allen and Elizabeth streets in Waterloo Oval next to the skate park and is easy to access by public transport.

We provide a range of services to young people between the ages of 7 to 25 years, their families, and women with children.

A particular focus of our work is on providing opportunities for Indigenous young people who make up a large proportion of those who use the service.

Our core programs include: Casework and counselling services, mental health services, education and training groups, computer access and childrens programs.

Finding the right program or service is easy, just explore our programs page.

If you have any questions about support just telephone or email us.
